Coppell ISD is hosting a parent university event discussing the district’s Career and Technical Education program.

The details

Career and Technical Education Director Josh Howard will present the district's current course offerings and pathways. The presentation will be held at the Coppell High School Lecture Hall at 6 p.m. Feb. 12, district officials said.

After the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to tour Career and Technical Education classrooms and labs at Coppell High School, including robotics and automation, health science, engineering and computer science, audio visual technology, and more.

The CISD Career and Technical Education program allows students to develop both college preparation and real-world workforce skills development through a customized education program. Content is aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge, and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in current or emerging professions, according to the district website.

CISD has seven program pathways at Coppell High School and the Coppell High School 9th Grade Center and three at New Tech High School at Coppell.
