Coppell ISD hosted Adulting Day, a boot camp for high school seniors to help them transition into life graduation.

A closer look

The district hosted the event Oct. 4, featuring sessions ranging from money management to self defense. More than 40 local businesses and community members participated in the event. Notable sessions also taught students how to deal with car maintenance and roadside emergencies, cooking and grocery shopping, traveling, and personal taxes. CISD also held Adulting Day in January 2021, when students were taking online classes due to the pandemic. In 2021, seniors attended eight virtual sessions that were prerecorded by alumni as well as live Q&As hosted by teachers.
