The restaurant incurred damage to an exterior wall as well as in part of the attic space, according to a Facebook post from the Lewisville Fire Department. McGaughey said there is some smoke and water damage as well as minor fire damage to the restaurant, but no one was injured in the fire.
“We are very fortunate,” McGaughey said.
McGaughey said the restaurant will reopen, but an opening timeline has not been set. Updates regarding the reopening of the restaurant will be posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page and website.
“We ... want to thank the Lewisville Fire Department and any surrounding fire departments that accompanied them, the paramedics, and the tow boat who quickly moved boats away from the fire,” a statement on the restaurant’s Facebook said. “Everyone's response was quick and professional.”
The restaurant held a soft opening in May, according to its Facebook page, and had not yet hosted a grand opening celebration prior to the fire. McGaughey said she expects that a celebration will take place following the reopening.
