The backstory
- The city’s annual budget process is underway. As part of the process, Coppell City Council will host public workshops throughout July.
- Input from residents and businesses will inform city staff on proposed projects and programs, according to the city.
- All sessions will take place at Coppell City Hall. Residents can attend or livestream the workshops.
- The following four workshops are scheduled:
- July 13: Council will hear presentations from local service organizations requesting city funding. Council will also discuss special revenue funds.
- July 18: Council will review the debt service and general fund budget.
- July 24: City staff will present the draft budget for the water and sewer fund.
- July 27: City staff will present the debt service and general fund budget based on the certified values. Council will also discuss the proposed tax rate.
