Cozby Library and Community Commons will continue to accept cash as a form of payment after previously intending to become a cashless facility.

The Coppell library previously announced plans to go cashless effective Jan. 3. The change was aligned with several other city facilities that have already become cashless facilities, according to a Dec. 22 announcement. The change would have only allowed debit and credit card payments, personal checks or money orders as acceptable forms of payment. Copying services were also scheduled to discontinue Jan. 3.

The facility decided the following week to continue accepting cash payments in 2023 in order to sustain its full range of existing library services.

All current printing and photocopying services will remain available. The price for black and white printing and photocopying is $0.15 per page. Color printing and photocopying costs $0.50 per page.

Payment for printing, copying, lost items and nonresident memberships can be paid with cash, personal check, money order, credit cards or debit cards. All credit and card transactions will incur a nonrefundable $2 convenience fee, according to the library.
