Lewisville has been recognized in two recent studies as a desirable place to live.

The city ranked 10th in Filterbuy’s “Best small cities to move to for diversity” list. The Alabama-based home air quality retail company created the list by weighing several data factors, such as 2020 census data, ethnic and racial diversity, ands economic equality to create a score out of 100.

Lewisville ranked 10th in the small-city category with an index score of 69.88 and placed 16th overall nationwide. Allen was the only other small city in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to place in the the top 10 at No. 9.

Lewisville was also named one of the top boomtowns in the U.S. by SmartAsset. The city was ranked ninth in the study.

The online consumer-focused financial advisory company analyzed data from 494 of the largest cities and measured five-year population growth, average yearly GDP growth, five-year growth in the number of businesses, the five-year increase in the number of housing units and changes in unemployment.




Lewisville has seen a nearly 16% increase in the number of housing units available, according to SmartAsset’s findings. Its population has grown by almost 8%, and household incomes have increased by more than 30%. Lewisville has seen a 23% rise in the number of businesses, according to a press release.
