A Lewisville landscaping business will move into a new location after Lewisville City Council approved a rezoning request for property that is on the Flower Mound-Lewisville border.

Swann Landscape Construction asked to rezone a 2.02-acre tract on the east side of Duncan Lane, south of Spinks Road. It was approved during the Dec. 4 council meeting.

The property would house a 3,500-square-foot office/warehouse for the business, which currently has a P.O. Box as an address on its website. Another change in zoning was to allow 10% of outdoor storage. Lewisville Planning and Zoning Commission had previously recommended approval Nov. 7. No timetable was provided for the construction.

The company has been in business since 1999, originally starting at Skidstar Grading Company before rebranding, according to the website. The business does grading, landscape, draining, lighting and rainwater collection.

The owners are Patrick and Karan Swann, who have been Lewisville residents for the past 26 years, according to filing documents for the project.
