A project has been registered for Popeyes in Coppell, which plans to start construction in early 2024 and a year later, according go an online filing.

Coppell City Council approved a zoning change at the July 11 meeting for the location, which at the time didn’t have an exact address. A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Nov. 15 lists the construction cost is $1 million for the 2,608-square-foot location. The estimated construction timeline is March 18, 2024, to March 14, 2025.

Popeyes originated in Louisiana in 1972, according to the company. Its menu includes fried chicken, sandwiches and a collection of sides.
