The Coppell Chamber of Commerce joined a cadre of nationally recognized chambers possessing a national three-star accreditation, according to a news release.

With the recent accreditation, the Coppell Chamber of Commerce became one of 44 chambers in Texas to receive accreditation and one of 199 nationally from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, per the news release. The recognition is awarded to chambers who demonstrate high standards and a commitment to local businesses.

Two-minute impact

Ellie Braxton, president and CEO of the Coppell Chamber of Commerce, said the application required the submission of materials regarding governance, finance, human resources, government affairs, program development, technology, communication and facilities, which were part of the national evaluation process for the accreditation. Braxton said the chamber also underwent a full audit of its finances as part of the three-star accreditation application.

Per the news release, the accreditation is a way to recognize the impact of the Coppell Chamber of Commerce’s policies, effective organization procedures and positive impact within the community.

“This is not an easy task by any means, but wow, how rewarding. We made it and are so proud” Braxton said. “We learned so much and are an even stronger Chamber because of the process.”
