Ahead of the annual September event, officials have unveiled the featured musical acts for Lewisville’s Western Days festival.

Headlining the two-day festival, which will be held Sept. 27-28, are country musicians Ashley McBryde and Chris Young.

What you need to know

Gates to the Western Days open at 4 p.m. Sept. 27 and at noon Sept. 28, with McBryde taking the stage Friday night and Young closing out the festival on Saturday night.

In addition to a variety of musical acts, the festival features food trucks, Western-themed activities and the Padrino Foods World Tamale Eating Championship. This year’s event will not include the annual Cattle Drive Parade.


According to the city’s website, around 20,000-30,000 people attend the event each year.

Here are a few things to know about the 2024 Western Days festival:
  • The event takes place in Old Town Lewisville along Church and Main streets.
  • Admission is free before 6 p.m.; after that, entry costs $15 for patrons over the age of 12.
  • A free shuttle system will be available due to street closures around the event.
  • Cash or card payments will not be accepted at bars or food trucks participating in the event. Attendees will purchase wristbands, to which credit can be added.
