A runoff election for the Dallas ISD District 2 seat is set for June 10 with candidates Jimmy Tran and Sarah Weinberg facing off.

Tran, Weinberg and Kevin Malonson ran in the May 6 election with no candidate winning 50% of the vote. Tran won 39.62%; Weinberg won 37.1%; and Malonson won 23.27%.

Early voting for the runoff election began May 30 and will run until June 6. Nearly 6,500 Dallas County voters had cast their ballots during early voting as of June 4, according to unofficial counts.

During early voting and on election day, Dallas County voters can cast a ballot at any polling location listed on the Dallas County Elections Department website. On June 6 and 10, polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Board members serve three-year staggered terms and are not subject to term limits, according to the DISD website.
