Several new businesses have made their way to the northeast part of Dallas this summer, including an Austin-based yoga company and a locally owned nail bar offering an assortment of cocktails.

Black Swan Yoga

Austin-based yoga company Black Swan Yoga opened in its third Dallas studio in the Lakewood area at the beginning of the summer.

The company teaches varying yoga styles and offers donation-based classes with no minimum donation required. In addition to Dallas, the company has studios in Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Denver.Modish Nail Bar


Locally owned nail salon Modish Nail Bar opened on Greenville Avenue in the northeast part of Dallas.

The company's services include manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements and waxing. In addition, complimentary drinks are available to customers over age 21, including wine, margaritas and other cocktails.Modern Animal

Modern Animal, a Los Angeles-based veterinary company, opened its first clinic outside of California in the Hillside Village Shopping Center in Lakewood.

The clinic offers a variety of primary and preventive care options, including surgery and dental care, wellness exams, microchipping, and spay and neuter services. Virtual care and membership options are also available.The Success Center


The Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation opened a new success center to expand their programming for both youth and adults.

Founded in 2007, the foundation focuses on empowering students in the Vickery Meadow neighborhood through student programs, scholarships and mom groups. The new 10,000-square-foot facility allows the foundation to offer education opportunities and programming to more youth and expand existing educational services for adults, according to the foundation’s website.
