Keller residents who use Bear Creek Park should be aware that construction has begun on four new pickleball courts.
According to the city’s Facebook page, the work began on June 5. The courts will feature lights, windscreens and seating—plus a shade structure between the existing pickleball courts and the new ones—on the southwest end of the park.
Plans for this $413,717 project also include adjusting the trail near the courts, so park users should be on the lookout for changes along their normal walking, running, biking and dog-walking path during construction and after, the Facebook post stated.
Construction is estimated to be completed this fall.
