According to a city news release, the resolution directs city departments to organize their day-to-day operations to focus on the priorities.

Besides being a key component of the 2050 comprehensive plan, these priorities contribute to budget development as well. City officials are engaged in Phase 1 of the fiscal year 2024-25 budget, in which they are asking for feedback from residents to help develop the recommended budget. After the recommended budget is presented to council, community members will have opportunities to review and submit feedback from mid-August to mid-September.
