Early voting for the May 3 election ended April 29 and Tarrant County officials are reporting more than 63,000 residents turned out to cast their ballots while Denton County officials reported slightly more than 29,000 people went to the polls.

The breakdown

Of the 63,336 ballots received in Tarrant County, 1,585 returned by mail between March 26 and April 30, according to the county’s election data. That accounts for 4.95% of the 1.28 million voters in Tarrant County.
For Denton County, 4.74% of the county's registered voters submitted ballots during the early voting period, or 29,051 of 611,738 registered voters.
Of the races on Tarrant County's and Denton County's ballots, several contested races and one bond are related to Keller, Keller ISD, Northwest ISD, the Roanoke bond and the city of Fort Worth. Those races are:

Roanoke bond election

On Feb. 11, the Roanoke City Council voted to call a bond election May 3 to ask voters to consider a $62 million bond proposition for a convention center. The bond would include costs for designing, constructing and equipping the convention center facility. The center would include conference and meeting rooms, ballrooms and gathering space that will be attached to a full-service hotel.

Where to vote

Tarrant County residents can vote from any of the 45 polling locations on election day. Poll hours will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 3.

Denton County residents can vote only at their precinct location between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on election day.
