Steve Flynn has won the Place 6 race for the Trophy Club Town Council, according to unofficial voting results from Denton and Tarrant counties for the May 7 election.

The official Town of Trophy Club website reported the unofficial results as of 9:45 p.m. Place 5 and Place 6 were on the ballot for the Trophy Club Town Council. Denton County is reporting all Trophy Club precinct votes have been counted.

Flynn, an independent mediator, received 824 votes, or 60.19%, and Realtor Wendie Bailey received 545 votes, or 39.81%, according to the results.

Flynn stated in a Q&A with Community Impact Newspaper that his top priorities on council will be to strengthen and support small businesses within Trophy Club, continue to expand and grow the working relationship with the municipal utility district, develop a long-term infrastructure plan and promote town council transparency.


LuAnne Oldham retains Place 5 and did not have any candidates file to run against her.

Proposition A will reauthorize the town’s crime control and prevention district and its 0.25% sales tax for 20 more years. It passed with 926 votes in favor and 536 votes against.

Proposition B will renew the town’s 0.25% sales tax for street maintenance. It passed with 1,219 votes in favor and 232 votes against.
