Northwest ISD students and their parents or guardians are invited to attend the 2024 North Texas U.S. service academies forum on April 6 in Carrollton. The event provides interested middle and high school students an opportunity to learn more about service academies, requirements for admission and the selection process.

The details

According to a district news release, the event will take place at Creekview High School, located at 3201 Old Denton Road in Carrollton, and run from 8 a.m. to noon. Registration opens on site at 7:30 a.m., and walk-ins are welcome.

The news release states representatives have been invited to attend from all five service academies, including:

• U.S. Military Academy
• U.S. Naval Academy
• U.S. Coast Guard Academy
• U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
• U.S. Air Force Academy

Representatives from congressional offices as well as the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps ROTC have been invited to be on hand to answer questions and distribute information, according to the news release.
