Oak Street Cafe opened in early December and now offers made-from-scratch breakfast and lunch items, co-owner Jimmy Pollozani said.

The details

Located in the former Chop Shop Live in Roanoke, Oak Street Cafe’s menu features omelets, pancakes, sandwiches, salads and desserts, Pollozani said.

“We want people to feel like they’re enjoying homemade meals served with genuine hospitality,” he said.

The brunch spot is adjacent to Roanoke Tavern, a dinner spot, and Roanoke Live, an evening concert venue. Oak Street Cafe is open from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. and is owned by Pollozani and Tim Zaku.

“Our goal is to be that spot where people feel at home, where service is personal and where the community knows they’re appreciated every time they walk through the door,” Pollozani said.
