A menu packed with authentic Mexican entrees such as tablitas de res, bistec ranchero and guisado de chicharron await at Taqueria Mi Viejo, Keller’s newest Mexican restaurant.

According to co-owner Juanita Vazquez, the restaurant, located at 801 S. Main St., Ste. 101, opened May 13.

Vazquez, who has been a Keller resident for 23 years, said when she was looking for a spot to open a new business, she wanted it to be in Keller because she likes the area so much.

Other scratch-made favorites include street tacos, including chicken, steak, carnitas and barbacoa tacos, Vazquez said.

While Taqueria Mi Viejo’s menu contains typical Mexican fare, such as enchiladas and quesadillas, Vazquez and fellow co-owner Yolanda Enriquez round out their extensive menu with seafood offerings and specialties such as higado encebollado, or liver and onions. Plus, the breakfast menu—which includes breakfast tacos, chilaquiles and huevos con chorizo—is available all day.
