Keller Sports Park is scheduled to have its grand reopening at the end of April.

Residents can join city officials at Keller Sports Park for its ribbon cutting ceremony and tour of the grounds from 9 a.m.-noon on April 25, according to a city social media post.
Some of the $40.8 million renovations to the sports park include 12 renovated baseball and softball fields and expand facilities for lacrosse, equestrian and soccer competitions, according to previous reporting.
The background
The renovations at the park started in 2021 when a task force was formed to discuss transforming the three baseball fields that were constructed in the 1970s. The task force recommended significant renovations and updates in March 2022, per previous reporting. The updates are the first major renovations to the park since 2004, Director of Community Services Cody Maberry said.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was originally scheduled for January but was pushed back to April.
City Sports, a $15 million privately owned facility adjacent to the sports park, will be under construction through 2026, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. Keller City Council approved the facility to be constructed on 7.8 acres of city park land in October 2023.
