Futsal, commonly translated to “indoor football,” comes from the Spanish phrase “fútbol sala” and the Portuguese phrase “futebol de salão.” City Futsal co-owner Esteban Mariel said while the business focuses on the indoor soccer game, the location will also offer space for sports like volleyball and basketball.
The sports park will have two small-sided outdoor turf fields and six indoor multi-sport courts, Mariel said. While the location is still in the permitting process, Mariel said his goal is to serve the Keller community and Keller Youth Association.
