Fort Worth residents finally have an H-E-B store to shop at starting April 10.

H-E-B officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new store April 9 ahead of its opening date. The store is located in the Alliance area of northeast Fort Worth at 3451 Heritage Trace Parkway.

The details

The Alliance store features:
  • 128,650 square feet
  • A full-service pharmacy
  • An outdoor essentials department
  • A True Texas BBQ restaurant
  • A bakery
  • Deli
  • Fresh sushi
  • Daily handmade tortillas
  • Curbside and home delivery
This marks the fifth H-E-B location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The location broke ground in November 2022.

The Alliance store is led by the store’s top leader Chase Bowman, employs about 750 people, 90% of whom are from the local area, Bowman said.

The family-owned grocery store was founded in 1905 by Florence Butt and has expanded to hundreds of locations in Texas and Mexico.

What they’re saying

Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, Fort Worth City Council members Alan Blaylock and Charles Lauersdorf, city staff, and H-E-B leaders were in attendance at the ribbon-cutting event.

“There are now over 250,000 people just north of [I-]820,” Parker said during the ceremony. “It is incredibly important to me and my council colleagues ... to make sure that every single resident, regardless of where you live, you feel connected to this city. We are so proud that [our H-E-B- partners] are a part of that.”

Blaylock, who presides over District 10 in Fort Worth, noted the philanthropic efforts H-E-B makes in local communities. At the April 9 event, H-E-B made two $10,000 donations: one to CASA of Tarrant County and one to the Humane Society of North Texas.

“That’s consistent for them,” Blaylock said. “They truly believe in being good community partners and being engaged and working with the community,”

Lauersdorf, who presides over District 4 in Fort Worth, noted the benefit of having a large employer with these values in the area.

“They’re not having to drive an hour to go find meaningful employment; they can find it right here,” he said.
