The numbers of positive cases of novel coronavirus continue to increase in Tarrant and Denton counties.

Officials with Tarrant County Public Health have confirmed an additional 102 positive cases of COVID-19 in the county in the past 24 hours.

TCPH has confirmed a total of 5,863 cases of COVID-19 in the county, including 173 deaths and 2,474 patients who have recovered.

Across Tarrant County, there are 1,859 available hospital beds and 416 available ventilators.

TCPH numbers indicate that 183 ventilators and 3,600 hospital beds are currently occupied, including 175 hospital beds occupied by COVID-19 patients.


Meanwhile, Denton County Public Health officials have confirmed an additional 15 positive COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

There are a total of 720 active COVID-19 cases in Denton County as of June 4, which represents the greatest number of active cases for a single day since DCPH began tracking COVID-19 on March 16.

In Denton County, there are currently 497 available hospital beds and 99 available ventilators.

According to DCPH, there are currently 15 occupied ventilators and 581 occupied hospital beds, including 19 beds occupied by COVID-19 patients.
