Harbor Freight Tools announced that it will be opening a new store in Fort Worth, according to a Dec. 11 news release.

The details

The release states that the store is expected to bring 25-30 new jobs to the community, including:
  • Sales and logistic supervisors
  • Senior associates
  • Sales associates
  • Seasonal opportunities
According to the news release, construction has already begun at the location. The store is expected to open in late winter with an official opening date to be announced closer to opening.

A closer look

Harbor Freight Tools has more than 1,400 locations nationwide, according to the news release. The family-owned company started in southern California in 1977, when 17-year-old Eric Smidt began transforming his father’s small phone sales business into a successful mail order company.

The news release states that Harbor Freight Tools is one of the nation’s fastest growing retailers, opening two new stores every week.
