LA Fitness has opened its newest location at Frisco Market Center.[/caption]Frisco Market Center announced June 20 the opening of LA Fitness within its 100-acre development at the northwest corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Main Street.
The new 38,000-square-foot gym includes child care, group fitness classes, a basketball court, swimming pool and indoor cycling.
"This is a great location on the corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Main at the epi-center of Frisco, Texas," Kirk Hermansen, partner at Hermansen Land Development, said in a press release. "Health clubs and grocery stores are great traffic-generating anchor tenants for shopping centers. The addition of LA Fitness along with the exciting additional planned development should only add to the success of our tenants."
Hermansen Land Development is the developer for Frisco Market Center.
According to a news release, Frisco Market Center—which is anchored by Main Event and LA Fitness—will include nearly 500,000 square feet of entertainment, restaurants and retail, approximately 250 hotel rooms and more than 1,500 residents on site when completed. The development includes The Emerson, a 410-unit luxury apartment community.
