This month, Texas Health Resources is rebranding 32 First Choice Emergency Room locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to be named Texas Health Emergency Room.

In May, Texas Health and Adeptus Health, FCER's parent company, entered into a partnership. As a result, the 32 freestanding ERs in Collin, Denton, Tarrant and Dallas counties are aligning with Texas Health's branding, electronic health record compatibility and payer contracts.

Texas Health officials said the partnership is a response to changing consumer demands as the North Texas population continues to increase. Adeptus is the largest provider of freestanding ERs in the country.

The newly named Texas Health Emergency Room has three locations in Frisco.
