Texas Chronic Care Clinic opened in early October in Frisco and offers a once-a-week service to uninsured patients.

The rest of the week, the clinic is dedicated to seeing new Medicare patients.

Texas Chronic Care partnered with NTX Cares, a nonprofit medical clinic providing health and wellness care to those who are uninsured.

NTX Cares Board President Danielle Savoy said the nonprofit was looking for a new health care provider to help serve families in Collin, Denton and Dallas counties who are struggling to find affordable health care services.

Now families have a new option in Collin County, Savoy said.

“We opened this clinic because there is a need,” Savoy said. “There is currently no provider in Frisco accepting new Medicare patients and they won’t be accepting them any time soon. We want to quickly fill that need and get patients through the door.”

Savoy said Texas Chronic Care Clinic also has charitable relationships with nearby hospitals in which they can treat uninsured and Medicare patients and help decrease the readmission rate of uninsured patients.
