George Dodson and Kathy Wheat are the newest Colleyville City Council members.[/caption] All precincts are reporting for the Colleyville City Council elections. Kathy Wheat, who was running against Jon Bullock, won the race for Place 3 with 54.01 percent or 1,750 votes. Bullock gathered 45.99 percent or 1,490 votes. Mayor Pro Tem Chris Putnam previously held Place 3 and did not seek re-election. George Dodson, who was running against Chad LaPrelle and Mike Sexton, won the race for Place 4 with 51 percent or 1,655 votes. LaPrelle received 14.27 percent or 463 votes and Sexton gathered 34.73 percent or 1,127 votes. Jody Short previously held Place 4 and was term limited. The candidates were not immediately available for comment Saturday night.
