What you need to know
The Fort Worth-based airline will fly to Puerto Escondido International Airport twice a week—Wednesday and Sunday—starting Dec. 3, according to a news release.
Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, is located near the Pacific Ocean.
American Airlines will use an Embraer E715, operated by regional partner American Eagle, to fly the route.
This is the 30th destination from DFW Airport via American Airlines, which will now offer 780 flights weekly to Mexico, according to its website.

This will be the second destination added to Mexico this year by American Airlines. On March 5, the company started flights to Gen. Francisco Javier Mina International Airport in Tampico, Mexico.
