Avelo Airlines announced Dec. 9 that it would add a new route between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Tweed New Haven Airport in Connecticut.

Avelo will add four nonstop services in February and will have its first flight to DFW Airport on March 7, flying on Mondays and Fridays, according to a news release.

The flight to Tweed New Haven Airport, which is 3 hours, 24 minutes, starts at $89, according to the website.

“This service makes visiting Southern Connecticut, and everything the greater New England and New York regions have to offer, easier than ever,” CEO Andrew Levy said in a news release. “We also look forward to making DFW’s thriving culinary scene, sports mecca and vibrant nightlife a fast and seamless journey for Connecticut travelers.”

Since taking flight on April 28, 2021, the Houston-based company has flown more than six million customers on more than 46,000 flights and provides services to 24 states, according to its website.
