Frontier Airlines announced it will offer a new route to Colorado in December.

The details

Starting Dec. 16, Frontier will fly out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Eagle County Regional Airport in Gypsum, four miles from Eagle and seven miles from Vail.

According to the company, airfare will start at $238 for a round trip with flights happening twice a week.

“Just in time for ski season, we are thrilled to connect consumers in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area with the incredible beauty and world-class recreation that the Colorado Rockies are famous for,” Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design with Frontier Airlines, said in the Oct. 1 release.

What else?

The DFW flight is one of 22 new flights announced by the Denver-based company. In June, Frontier added routes to Sacramento, California, Seattle and St. Louis.

Frontier operates out of Terminals D and E at DFW Airport.
