The $6.9 million project to replace the bridge on North White Chapel Boulevard was set to have 100-foot beams installed on July 22 and 23. That was delayed and the new delivery is set for Aug. 12-13.
The details
According to the post, the delivery for the north side of the bridge will take place on Aug. 12 to help minimize disruption on the first day of school for Carroll ISD.
The south side of the bridge will be delivered on Aug. 13.
What else?
The 10 beams weigh 41 tons each and will help support the 200-foot bridge, according to the news release.
The beams will be staged along SH 114 frontage road, between North White Chapel Boulevard and West Dove Road. Drivers could expect intermittent closings of intersections along Dove Road, T.W. King Road, Bob Jones Road, North White Chapel Boulevard, Kirkwood Boulevard and Sabre Drive.
