The city of Southlake plans to replace the pavement on Creekside Drive from the street’s cul-de-sac to its intersection with East Dove Road.

According to the city, the street has reached the end of its lifespan due to surface damage to the road, including cracking, an uneven surface and general deterioration over the last few years. This damage warrants a complete replacement, according to the city.

Southlake City Council unanimously awarded a construction contract to XIT Paving and Construction for the work at a May 3 meeting.

The “project aims to replace approximately 2,000 linear feet of the two-lane road segment with reinforced concrete pavement,” according to city documents. Construction will include adding a storm pipe and restoring roadside ditches to improve drainage.

The project does not yet have a timeline, but the cost will not exceed $1.2 million, according to the city.
