On Sept. 23, the city of Colleyville began asphalt maintenance on a portion of Glade Road. As a result, the section of road has become one-way only, with drivers only able to travel westbound on the road, according to a city news release. The eastbound lane is closed between Pool Road and Green Oaks Drive, and eastbound drivers are being diverted to Hall-Johnson Road.

The closure is expected to last until Oct. 7 as crews work to maintain the road's asphalt.

"Glade Road has been an integral part of Colleyville’s road system for many decades and is an important east-west transportation route for residents, businesses and visitors," the news release said, adding that the new asphalt will continue to allow the road to have a "quality driving surface."

The lane closure will also allow the city to repair some of the damaged pavement east of Pool Road, the release said.

Drivers are advised to plan an alternate route during this time, and they can contact the Public Works Department at 817-503-7360 with questions.
