Bass Pro Drive closure to affect drivers in Grapevine this weekend

NorthGate Constructors will close Bass Pro Drive beginning Friday, March 8 at 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, March 11. The stretch of road from SH 26 to Enchanted Way will be closed to traffic in both directions. This closure will allow NorthGate to begin moving traffic into a temporary configuration to advance work in the area as a new bridge is built over SH 121, according to a news release.

Once completed, the new Bass Pro bridge will add capacity to the intersection with six lanes, in addition to a U-turn on the south side of the bridge.

These changes are part of the $370 million Texas Department of Transportation project, which also includes rebuilding and widening SH 121 north of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to accommodate new interchanges for SH 121 at I-635 and FM 2499. The project is expected to be complete in 2022.

A detour map has been provided below.
