The Grapevine chapter of the American Business Clubs gave 14 therapeutic AmTrykes to children with special needs and their families at The REC of Grapevine on Feb. 23. The AmTrykes are tricycles specially designed to give children freedom of movement and assists with muscle development and coordination. "What an amazing event to see these children have the opportunity to ride a tryke that helps give them freedom and strength of movement," Grapevine AMBUCS President David Hallberg said in a statement. "To see the smiles on their faces and the joy their families experience in this moment reminds us of why we do what we do." While working with physical therapists, Grapevine AMBUCS donates more than 100 AmTrykes to children and veterans in the Dallas-Fort Worth area every year, according to a news statement.
