UPDATED 10:20 p.m., May 6 Incumbent Jesse Rodriguez won the May 6 election, which means he is re-elected to the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Place 5 seat. Rodriguez received 52.23 percent or 2,590 votes and his opposer, Julie Lawrence, received 47.77 percent or 2,369 votes. "This is really about the voters and the district," Rodriguez said. "Every vote in support of me was a vote for the school district. The community has spoken and it's clear they are happy with the direction the board has taken with the strategic plan and the needs of more than 13,000 students in the district. I look forward to continuing working for them."
