The mobile pediatric unit serves clients based in Trophy Club, Westlake, Southlake, Grapevine, Keller, AllianceTexas and Roanoke, according to its website.
Kristen McNeil is the founder and main pediatric nurse for the company. She and her husband, who works on the business side of Pediatric Concierge of North Texas, have more than 24 combined years of experience working in healthcare.
McNiel said that PCNT offers basic wellness checks, sick visits, vaccines and sutures for infants to patients under 21. People can sign up to be part of a membership program or can take an a la carte approach.
She added that while they don’t take insurance, Pediatric Concierge of North Texas will print a detailed and itemized report that clients can submit to their insurance providers.
The backstory
McNiel said the COVID-19 pandemic made a lot of people realize that they could do work from home, even in healthcare. She decided to start the mobile unit to keep healthy people out of waiting rooms, where they can be exposed to illnesses.
