Over the summer, Carroll ISD spent about $700,000 on infrastructure work, such as replacing air conditioning units and plumbing and mechanical work. The board of trustees assembled a team of several consultants that will begin to assist with some of the larger bond projects.
The Carroll ISD board of trustees approved the contract recommendation for artificial turf and other related improvements as part of the 2017 bond Phase 1 project at the Carrol Senior High School softball/baseball complex in an amount not to exceed $1.94 million. The district has also focused on upgrading the district’s technology infrastructure to provide faster and more reliable internet service to students. In November, the board approved the use of Huckabee Inc. for the Music Center Project at Carroll Senior High School and other related items.
Architects still need to be designated for the Rockenbaugh Elementary School project and the Walnut Grove Elementary School project, both of which will receive classroom additions and renovations. By fall 2020, all CISD bond projects should be complete.
