Smith will start her position on Jan. 21, according to Assistant City Manager Adrienne Lothery. Before joining the Colleyville team, Smith spent seven years as Assistant Director of Finance at the City of Conroe and 12 years with the Harris County Auditor’s Office.

Smith will start her position Jan. 21, Assistant City Manager Adrienne Lothery said.
Her role is to provide strategic and financial planning for the city. That includes implementing financial policies and procedures, advising senior management and City Council on financial matters, reviewing and approving financial reports, and overseeing all activities of the finance department.

The former director of finance, Matt Poston, left the position in October for personal reasons.
