Colleyville City Council gave approval to 2R Construction Services to enhance the drainage system along Tinker Road during their work session meeting Oct. 15.

The project

The project will cost an estimated $2.09 million and the city budgeted $2.13 million for construction, according to city documents. The improvements run along Tinker Road from Emerald Drive to Ponderosa Street and include:
  • A new storm sewer system that ties into the Colleyville Boulevard storm sewer system
  • Replacement of water and waste water lines
  • Installation of a concrete sidewalk, curb ramps and a mill and overlay
The details

The new drainage expects to capture 37.5% of storm water flowing from the north of Tinker Road, Colleyville Public Works Director Amber Beard.

Construction is scheduled to begin January 2025 and will take 12 months to complete, Colleyville City Manager Adrienne Lothery said in an email to Community Impact. The road will support one-way traffic for the duration of the project, she said.
