The city of Colleyville debuted four wayfinding signs and a digital event sign this summer, and more are on the way.

During a city council work session at the Sept. 4 meeting, Assistant City Manager Adrienne Lothery announced the proposed plans for Phase II for wayfinding signs in 2025.

A closer look

Phase I of the wayfinding signs was approved by council during the Dec. 19, 2023 meeting for $105,000, with the digital sign costing the most, according to Lothery.

The digital sign, which highlights upcoming city events, is near Starbucks at 5510 Colleyville Blvd.

There is $100,000 in the budget for Phase II in the capital improvement program, which will include 10 signs—seven replacements and three new ones—with an estimated cost of $70,000, Lothery said during her presentation.

In an email, she said the Phase II contract would go to council in the next few months and installation would happen in the first part of 2025.

The proposed location for the replacement and new signs will be on:
  • Colleyville Boulevard, northbound and southbound lanes
  • Church Street, eastbound lane
  • Glade Road, westbound lane
  • Hall-Johnson Road, westbound lane
What else?

The replacement wayfinding signs will direct visitors and residents to such places as Colleyville Center, Colleyville Justice Center, Colleyville City Hall, Colleyville Library, Public Works Service Center and the post office. The new signs would be on Glade Road and feature locations such as the Colleyville Rec Center, Colleyville Senior Center and Colleyville Heritage High School.

All of the signs will be adorned with a CV monogram at the top, which is an additional branding element for the city, Lothery said.
