Tarrant County taxpayers have until the end of November to pay if they chose to do two equal installment payments for their property taxes for this year.

To qualify for a half-payment option, taxpayers must pay half of the total property taxes owed by Nov. 30, according a news release from Wendy Burgess, Tarrant County tax assessor-collector .

The details

If a taxpayer makes a qualifying and timely first installment payment, the second payment is due by July 1, 2024. No penalty or interest will accrue on the second half until after July 1, according to the news release.

Property tax statements were mailed in mid-October, and most taxpayers should have received their statement by now, according to county officials. If not, tax bills can be downloaded online.

What else?

Taxpayers with an exemption for being over age 65 or having a disability will receive their tax bill by mid-November, the news release stated.

If taxpayers do not choose the half-payment option, the deadline to pay is Jan. 31, 2024. After that date, penalties and interest will accrue.
