The request was granted during the Oct. 17 joint meeting after Eason Maykus, a representative of Hat Creek Development, asked for a delay until November.
The overview
If approved, a 32-home development called Grapevine Springs would be constructed on over 11 acres at 1600 Northwest Hwy. The rezoning request for the development included a condition that would allow Hat Creek Development to utilize two different zoning districts for single-family residential.
Also included in the rezoning request was a request for an open space or common-area lot as well as varied front yard setbacks from a private drive within the proposed neighborhood, according to city documents.
What’s next?
Based on an approved motion to table, council is expected to reconsider the rezoning request at its next joint meeting Nov. 21.
