A new municipal service center is being built by the city of Southlake to house the public works, finance and utility departments, among others, as well as a new training space for the fire department.

Expected to be completed in two years after its initial groundbreaking, the 14-acre lot located at 1630/1638 Brumlow Ave. will feature a two-story building with offices and meeting rooms.

The project is estimated to cost just under $15 million and will be funded through the city’s recently approved 2021-22 fiscal year budget.

The new municipal service center will house operations currently located at 1950 E. Continental Blvd. Once vacated, that lot will then be transformed into the Southlake Sports Complex as part of the city’s 2035 Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan.
