FRIDAY

1. Colleyville church to host French Horn Jubilee Christmas Concert
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosts a French Horn Jubilee Christmas Concert at its Colleyville chapel. The concert will feature more than 100 French horn students from Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, Keller ISD and other North Texas schools as well as members of the UT Arlington Horn Choir and other professional musicians. The event, open to French horn players of all ages and abilities, has been held annually in Colleyville since 2011 and is part of the Church’s “Light the World” Christmas campaign.

2. Grapevine’s Historic Palace Theatre presents holiday performances of 'Finding Christmas' featuring GENTRI: The Gentlemen Trio

“Finding Christmas” is the new holiday show featuring original songs performed by three harmonizers accompanied by a live piano and orchestra tracks. The show features songs from GENTRI’s 2016 holiday album, “Finding Christmas,” which topped multiple billboard charts including several No. 1 spots. The holiday album reached the iTunes Top 10 Holiday albums alongside Pentatonix and Michael Bublé. GENTRI has performed with world-renowned talent, including Tony Award-winning vocalist Idina Menzel and rock band Journey at the Stadium of Fire, the nation’s largest Fourth of July fireworks celebration.

3. Grapevine unveils new Fitness Court
The Grapevine Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with National
Fitness Campaign to install and promote a free outdoor gym facility open to all at The REC of Grapevine. This outdoor bodyweight circuit training facility is designed to transform public spaces into community fitness hubs. Grapevine is the first of 100 selected sites across the country bringing the new Fitness Court to public parks. In turn, the community is invited to an official launch party at The REC of Grapevine. The event includes prizes and giveaways, fitness demonstrations, challenges, and opportunities to get on the court with expert trainers to try the 7-minute workout.

4. 'Tis the season for Holiday Bricktacular at the Legoland Discovery Center
Master builders are on hand to help construct a Lego winter wonderland for all guests.

5. Scuba diving Santa to make a splash at Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium

 
A Scuba diving Santa will make an appearance in a water wonderland at Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium amongst sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, fish and other marine life, during special holiday dive shows. Guests can also watch the aquarium’s animals receive special holiday treats and enrichment gifts in the ocean tank and Stingray Bay.

6. 'A Forever Young Christmas' showing at Palace Theatre
"A Forever Young Christmas" is the holiday show telling the true story of how five best friends discovered and fell in love with music. The story follows where music has taken each of the Forever Young members in life. The family-friendly two-hour show is packed full of pop, country, and rock and roll and Christmas classics. Band members include Brad Baker, Avilla Martin, Justin Sassanella, Evan Bosworth and Chadd Ruden.
