The concert will be held on the south ground of city hall, with a fireworks show to follow. Reserved tables will be available to purchase May 29 for $40 per table—a maximum of two tables per purchaser—and will seat six people.

Akins has had 35 singles reach No. 1 on the chart between writing and singing, and had the top spot in 1995 with "That Ain't My Truck," according to a news release.
He’s written songs for Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch, Blake Shelton, Jon Pardi, Parker McCollum and his son, Thomas Rhett, the news release added. In November 2021, Akins was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
