According to the city’s May 27 newsletter, the first of the two concerts will feature the band Texas Trouble, which performed at the plaza last May. Texas Trouble will perform this year at 6:30 p.m. June 2.
Texas Trouble is described as “a non-stop, high-energy band featuring the best of honky-tonk and old-school country western sounds,” the newsletter states. The band covers hits from artists such as Willie Nelson, George Jones, Merle Haggard and Ray Price.
The second concert will take place at 6:30 p.m. June 9 and feature the Lindsey Kate Band, according to the newsletter.
Lindsey Kate is a singer, songwriter and Nashville-recorded artist from Texas, the newsletter states. The Lindsey Kate Band will showcase tribute performances to artists from the '60s to present day along with original songs.
In addition, Frios Gourmet Pops will hand out free popsicles at both concerts, according to the newsletter. The city wrote that attendees should bring blankets or lawn chairs for the concerts. Both concerts are located at the Plaza at City Hall—90 Main St., Colleyville.
