One candidate is running unopposed for a seat on Grapevine City Council while the race for another seat will feature two candidates, according to the city’s website.

The race for Place 4 includes two candidates running for their first term on Grapevine City Council.Place 4 incumbent Darlene Freed announced in January that she would not run for reelection in 2025. She was first elected to council in 1998 and has served for 27 years.

Grapevine City Council members are elected at large to three-year terms. The council is made up of six council members and a mayor, according to the city’s website.

The election is scheduled from 7 a.m-7 p.m. May 3. Early voting will open April 22 and run through April 29, according to the Grapevine’s website. The last day to apply for a ballot by mail is April 22, according to Tarrant County’s website.
