Voting wait times are online
Tarrant County maintains a webpage showing wait times at various polling locations within the county. Visitors on the webpage can also access directions to a specific polling place from their current location.
Voters may use interpreters at the polls
According to a website maintained by the Texas Secretary of State, voters who cannot speak English or who communicate via sign language may bring an interpreter to help them communicate with election officials.
The voter may select any person other than the following to interpret:
- The voter’s employer
- An agent of the voter’s employer
- An officer or agent of a labor union to which the voter belongs
If the voter is deaf and does not have a sign language interpreter who can accompany them, the voter should contact his or her local election officials before the election and request assistance.
Curbside voting is available at polling locations
According to the Secretary of State website, if a voter is physically unable to enter the polling building, the following options are available:
- An election officer can bring a ballot to the entrance of the polling place or to a car parked at the curbside
- After the voter marks the ballot, they will give it to the election officer, who will put it in the ballot box
- The voter may also request that a companion hand them the ballot and then deposit it for him or her
Early voting continues through Nov. 1 and Election Day is Nov. 5.
